Marci, Not only are you a total answer to my prayers for Lara to find and meet the perfect acting coach, but your patience and generosity are stunning to me. I know that my daughter has potential and latent talent. She has a sense of herself that acting and being a public person is in her future. She has always known that and is very determined quietly and Marci, you are the person to help my daughter and you do so in such a loving and "real" way. She is learning more than just the craft of acting, but how to work in concert and community with others and to be content enough with the process instead of only reaching for the brass ring. She loves working with your kids and with you. It is the right thing for her. I don't want her to be a stage brat or to be spoiled in any way.

The things that Lara learned this summer with Compassionate Communication were vital to her life experience.

Our family (mine with my Mom) did not have that type of communication in it's history and she has seen a lot of ugliness in her short life between me and my family. My 15-year old son, Jonathan, took his first acting class with Marci Winters and Tim Mateer at Alleywood Studios. Immediately after that, Jonathan landed his first role in the short movie "Triple Threat" as a featured actor.

This movie was entered in the short film category at the Austin Film Festival. Jonathan liked her so much that he took more classes and then ended up with various short/featured films, videos, and commercials as well.

Marci is an excellent instructor and coach. She works well with kids and teens. I still remember the first day my son and I went to Alleywood Studio in South Austin. I was a new driver back then, did not know where the studio was, and was scared to drive very far. Marci had then requested Tim Mateer to pick us up from our home in North Austin. And then, after the class, she took us home herself and had a little chat with us. This is the kind of service that Marci extended to us for free. She is a person with a big heart.

Marci, thank you so much for everything. Keep us posted with your Austin workshops.

Jo and I just wanted to thank you so much for assisting her with voice lessons last week.
